Hello Everybody,
November 23rd was the annual Fall Jodo Seminar in Port credit hosted at Mentor College. The event was a success, thank you to all members who attended. The seminar was hosted by Jodo Canada and was led by Eric Tribe Sensei and Kim Taylor Sensei to form Mega-sensei once again! The morning was spent on learning Kihon and Grading etiquette for both beginner and advanced students. Details were discussed on proper Shi Uchi Koutai in preparation for the Shinsa On November 24th at the Japanese Canadian Cultural Center. The afternoon session was focused on Seitei Jo Kata separated into groups by rank. The last session of the seminar involved all participates for instruction on Kata Ranai and demonstration. Following this was a dinner at a local pub for food, drinks, and conversation. It was a pleasant seminar for all. Our Jodo Canda President would like to express his thanks for all members who supported the seminar and special thanks to the 3 Chileans who joined us. We wish them a safe trip home and hope to see them again soon.
